Power Point Additions & Repairs

A dead power point, a cracked socket, or not enough outlets where you need them. We add new power points and fix faulty ones, and tell you the price on the spot.

Signs to look for

Does your home need a power point fixed or added?

Power points take a lot of use. Most problems are quick to sort once someone has looked, but some are a safety issue and shouldn't be left.

  • A power point has stopped working
  • A socket is cracked, loose or has burn marks
  • A power point buzzes, sparks or feels warm
  • There aren't enough points, and extension leads are everywhere
  • You want a point somewhere new: kitchen bench, garage, outside or bedside
  • A power point keeps tripping the safety switch
How we work

Quote on the spot. Fixed price. No surprises.

  1. 1We look at it. You call or send your details and we book a time that suits you.
  2. 2We tell you the price there and then. A fixed price, before any work starts.
  3. 3You say yes, we do it. Tested before we leave. If we find extra work, we tell you and price it first.
Safety first

A burnt, sparking or hot power point should not be used

If a power point has burn marks, sparks, buzzes or feels hot, stop using it and call us. It's a safety issue, not just an annoyance.

Power Points FAQ

Power points, common questions

Can you add a power point where there isn't one?

Usually, yes. Tell us where and we'll tell you what's involved and the price.

Is it safe to use a cracked power point?

No. A cracked, burnt or sparking point should be switched off and checked.

Why does a power point keep tripping the safety switch?

Something is leaking current: a faulty appliance, a damp or damaged point, or a wiring fault. We find the cause.

Do new power points need a safety switch?

New power points in homes need safety switch protection. We check this when we quote.

How long does it take?

A single point is usually a short visit. We'll tell you when we've seen the job.

What you're covered for

Three things I put in writing

Every quote you get from an electrician looks the same from the outside. Here's what's different about this one — and none of it depends on anyone but me.

01

The Fixed Price Promise

One fixed price for the work that needs doing.

I check the job properly before quoting, so the price covers everything it needs — no surprises on the day. If I find extra work once I'm there, I'll tell you and price it separately before doing it. You're never billed for something you didn't agree to first.

02

The On-Time Promise

Inside the booked window, or $50 off the job.

You get a booked window, not a vague day. If I'm not there inside it, I take $50 off the job. No excuses and nothing for you to chase.

03

Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

If it fails because of how I fitted it, I fix it free.

Every install is backed for as long as you own the place. If something I fitted fails because of the workmanship — not a storm event, not a manufacturer fault — I come back and make it right at no charge.
